Correlation and differences of patient-reported outcomes vs. Likert-Rating of MS symptoms in a real-world cohort using a digital patient app
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects 250,000 people in Germany and can severely impair their daily activities. The BRISA app helps MS patients to monitor their disease by regularly recording symptoms. This study investigates whether simplified versions of traditional, comprehensive questionnaires for assessing disease symptoms can provide comparable information. By comparing these simplified assessments with traditional questionnaire scores, the study seeks to understand their reliability, especially concerning common symptoms like fatigue and visual impairment.
